There are 4 questions we need to answer before we begin ideating a remarkable promotion. We call this our “Compass” because without it we could be walking a hundred miles in the wrong direction. Think about how you could apply these 4 questions to your day to day business also:
1) WHO IS IT FOR?
Who is the intended audience for this project? Is it elementry school kids or CEOs? Demographics & psychographics are key here.
2) WHEN IS IT NEEDED?
We need to know how much time we have to work with. The more time, the more custom. The less time, the less options there are.
3) WHAT IS IT FOR?
Why are you doing this project? What is the intended objective/outcome? The worst thing is a shiny thing with no purpose.
4) HOW MUCH?
This question is supposed to determine quantities: is it for 100 people or 1,000? is your budget $550 or $55,000?
